 Cassette

Los Angeles based Cassette clothing label has just released its Spring 2008 collection.

Although their take for this collection is dark,  it’s very true to their style.

Uncomplicated, yet stylish womens/menswear.

Casual pants, rolled up hems:  Bananarama circa 1982
 Cut-off denim shorts, rolled up
 The shirt speaks for itself
 Layered soft tops, belted
 Bare midriff, high waist shorts
Worn oversized, ripped denim cut-off shorts, rolled up hem. Slouchy casual look mix.
Is that acid wash?
 Love this look!

Paper Mag: Lindsay Lohan “Girl Interrupted”
Lindsay wears a jacket and skirt by Jeremy Scott, shoes by Lanvin, cuff by Karl Lagerfeld and sunglasses by Ray-Ban.

Lindsay wears a dress by Lanvin, sunglasses by Jeremy Scott for Linda Farrow and belt by Eliza Maze.

Lohan claims she is sober now, and when asked whether she wants to be or if she feels she has to be, responds, “I never feel like I have to do anything. I wouldn’t be if I didn’t want to be. It suits me.” To borrow a term she uses to describe Ann-Margret, one of her idols, Lohan is a “tough cookie.” Toward would-be directors or producers who might have reservations about hiring her, she’s unapologetic: “I am what I am. They either want to take a chance or they don’t, is how I see it.”

Won Hundred
Won Hundred is a Danish label that made its entrance into the fashion scene in 2004. Designer Pernille Schwartz showed a collection of highly structured dresses and coats alongside some streamlined denim looks. The pallette’s mainly black/grey with a splash of purple and contrasting white, and is deliciously edgey. Love it!
Pernille Engbirk

A 2004 graduate of the Danish School of Design in 2004, Engbirk incorporates muted, neutral tones contrasted with wintry blacks and grays, boyish coats and slim ruched pants. And those hard lines spotted in many of her designs are no mistake. “I come from a family of architects and am very much influenced by the straight lines and simplification in Danish classical architecture,” she says.

“I try to break down ordinary shapes and use them in a new and deconstructed way, where the soft meets the hard,” she says.

Louis Vuitton snags another fashion icon
Keith Richards is the latest celebrity to be featured in Louis Vuitton’s advertising campaign.  Photographed by Annie Leibovitz, he’s the latest celebrity to front the Louis Vuitton ad campaign.
This rock legend  joins LV’s “Core Values” campaign, which launched last Fall and is designed to pay homage to the fashion house’s “travel heritage and classic monogram leather goods.”

“We thought it was important to continue with someone unexpected,” Antoine Arnault, Louis Vuitton’s Head of Communications says. “I think when people are flipping through a magazine, this will stop them.”

“The good thing about Keith is, he’s big just about everywhere. He speaks to the 20-year-old who’s into rock ‘n’ roll and the 65-year-olds who went to [a Rolling Stones] concert when they were 20,” Antonie concluded.

Keith Richards’ Louis Vuitton ad campaign will debut in a series of general-interest titles in April.
